My Family Day Experience

 Have you ever thought about bonding with your family and friends at the same time? You are probably thinking it might be fun. Family day is a really good time to bond with both friends and family, in school. This event is really fun for both parents and children because of the games they hold and the dancing for the children after the whole program. This is how my family day went.

On the day of the event, my team had to go early for practice because of a dance competition against 3 teams. We were really pressured by the time but we still kept on practicing and practicing because we wanted our teams to win. On 2 PM in the afternoon we were called to go upstairs to get ready for our dance and put on our outfit and many more things for the dance. We also rehearsed a lot. After preparing we went back downstairs for the program. During then they already held the singing competition and it was really fun to sing with them. After the singing comes the games. I might not be in the games but it was fun to watch and cheer for our grade to win. The game was parents and children from our grade going against the other graders' parents and children. They ended up wining but it's fine because they looked like they had fun and us audience as well. After the games came in the elementary dance. Then the junior high school dance. I was mad at myself because I forgot the whole dance and kept messing up. It was because of how nervous I was but it's alright because we still got second and first in the overall scores for intramurals. After the dances comes the eating and after the eating comes the dancing with friends. I was really happy because I was already eating with my friends and their parents and brother. We had so much dancing just being happy because of our win. This is the picture one of my friend's mom took with my grandma and my other friend's brother.


Now doesn't it sound fun? I think all schools should have a family day because of the experience of the students and the parents as well. It might be tiring but it's so fun and worth it in the end. We should all start bonding with our family and friends together. It's really fun and exciting. Let's start enjoying our time together with our family an friends.

Reflective essay

  The story of “My Brother’s Peculiar Chicken” has a Filipino traditional sport called “sabong/cockfighting”. Watching the video regards to it, triggered my curiosity whether or not they found the answer they were looking for. The story displayed the action of a chicken and another chicken fighting, wherein the chicken is playing a traditional Filipino sport. This essay will be talking about the story, “My Brother’s Peculiar Chicken”, the filipino traditional sport called “sabong/cockfighting” and will include some of my opinions. A scene from the story talked about how they saw 2 chickens fighting in the fields and ended up catching the other chicken they wanted. The main character and the brother saw 2 chickens in the field fighting and thought that the other chicken was good at it, so the brother ended up catching it.
