I have learned a lot in the museum that us students prepared for everyone to visit. I, myself never knew that things like that still exists. It was fun to help people go to which table they'll go and tell them to not touch the things. I really had fun helping. There are 5 antiques that struck me the most out of all the antiques displayed.
First antique is the Telephone. This antique struck me a lot because I never old telephones looked like that back in the 1960s. I was really surprised on how the telephones used to be back in the days and was really amazed at the design. Our telephones in the present changed so much as time goes on. I just really like how the design is so good.
Second antique is the Flat Iron. I really didn't know that you had to put charcoals and light it up in order to iron your clothes back in the day. I thought it was just a normal iron where you just use electricity and it just heats up itself. I was really surprised with this antique and it's my personal favorite.
The third are the Coins. I thought back in the days, they would only use paper bills as the representation of money. So, I was really surprised on how barely use paper bills as the representation of money.
The forth is the Gold Wine Cup. I didn't know that this exists. Besides the wine cup they use in the church for a mass. It really surprised how back in the days they used that cup on Christmas or Thanksgiving. It really impressed me how people use to use it. It would be fun and joyful if people have it back as a tradition
The last one is the Paintings. They used their artistic skills for pictures or portraits because there was no technology. Unlike today we can use our phones for pictures and can even draw digitally. I just love how people are still painting traditionally and not only digitally. It really make me happy how people aren't only making use of the internet but also their creativity.
Over all it was really fun and I have learned a lot with how things used to be. I really liked how the things isn't really high tech as they are right now. It really makes me happy how people still use the same techniques back then and respecting the history by making students learn about it. It's just really fun and joyful. Would hope to have similar activities in the future.
